Win with Yorkshire County Cricket

Cricket fans: earn rewards for travelling green to Headingley this summer

There's a lot to look forward to at Headingley this summer. The ICC Women's T20 World Cup. A men's Test against Pakistan. The Hundred. A Vitality Blast double-header. And now, for fans making the journey sustainably, something extra to take home — BetterPoints rewards.

We're delighted to announce our new partnership with Yorkshire County Cricket Club, which means anyone walking, cycling, wheeling, or taking public transport to matches at Headingley can earn points through the BetterPoints app — and redeem them as real retail vouchers.

It's the same simple idea at the heart of everything we do: your everyday journeys have value. Why not be rewarded for them?

How it works

Download the BetterPoints app (free on iOS and Android), enter the referral code YCC, and start recording your sustainable journeys to Headingley. Every qualifying trip earns you points that can be spent with our growing network of reward partners across West Yorkshire.

The app recognises journeys on foot, by bike, by wheelchair, and on public transport — including train journeys into Headingley and Burley Park stations, which put you right on the doorstep of the ground.

If you live, work, or study in Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds, or Wakefield, you're eligible. It's free to join and free to use.

Win tickets to England vs Sri Lanka

As a bonus, everyone who travels sustainably and uses the code YCC will be entered into a prize draw to win two tickets to the England vs Sri Lanka Metro Bank One Day International at Headingley on 24 September 2026. A proper day out — earned by choosing greener travel.

Why it matters

Jon Barnett, Director of Operations at Yorkshire County Cricket Club, put it well: the club recognises the responsibility that comes with hosting major events — and reducing the environmental and community impact of car travel to Headingley is part of that.

Jack Windle, our Chief Sustainable Transport Officer, added: "We want to help make those journeys greener, healthier, and more rewarding."

This partnership follows our work with Leeds Rhinos earlier this year, and continues a growing conversation between sport, community, and sustainable travel across West Yorkshire. Major venues and clubs have a genuine role to play in shifting how people move around and we're proud to be part of that at Headingley this summer.
