Leeds Rhinos fans can now earn rewards for travelling sustainably to matches
We're thrilled to announce a new partnership with Leeds Rhinos and it launches this Friday at the club's annual Green Round fixture.
From 24th April, supporters heading to AMT Headingley Stadium for home games can earn points through the BetterPoints West Yorkshire app just by choosing sustainable ways to travel. Walk, wheel, cycle, or hop on the bus or train and every journey counts.
It's a partnership that feels like a natural fit. Leeds Rhinos has long taken its community and environmental responsibilities seriously, and BetterPoints is all about making sustainable travel rewarding and fun. Bringing the two together at the Green Round, a fixture built around sustainability on and off the pitch, felt like the perfect moment to launch.
How it works
If you're a Leeds Rhinos fan, here's all you need to do:
Download the BetterPoints app for free from the Apple Store or Google Play. Once you've registered, you're automatically enrolled in the West Yorkshire programme. Record a sustainable journey to any remaining Leeds Rhinos 2026 home game at AMT Headingley on foot, by bike, by bus or by train and you'll be entered into a weekly prize draw.
Travel sustainably to more games, earn more entries, and increase your chances of winning the grand prize: a hospitality package for two at AMT Headingley Stadium at the end of the season.
Points you earn through the app can also be redeemed for high street vouchers or donated to charity including the Leeds Rhinos Foundation, the club's official charity.
Sue Ward, Chief Operating Officer at Leeds Rhinos, said:
"We're proud to welcome BetterPoints to our growing family of sustainability partners. The Green Round is a chance for everyone associated with Leeds Rhinos — players, staff and supporters — to think about the choices we make and the impact we can have. Partnering with BetterPoints gives our fans a genuine incentive to travel sustainably, and that's something we hope will make a real difference well beyond matchday."
A Leeds City Council spokesperson said:
"BetterPoints does exactly that — rewarding everyday journeys. And when it's linked to something people are passionate about, like supporting Leeds Rhinos, it becomes a powerful tool for positive behaviour change. We're proud to support this partnership and to work alongside the club to help fans travel more sustainably and safely on matchdays and beyond."
